Tenerife-Holidays.Info and Top-Travel.co.uk recommends Undersea Adventures to visitors staying in the Amarilla and Golf Del Sur area. This Dive Centre is a must for anyone interested in learning to dive, and it continues to be a popular choice for qualified divers wishing to enjoy their sport while in Tenerife.

Undersea Adventures is a professional dive centre. Based in the San Blas area of Golf del Sur, and is owned and run by Yorkshireman Geoff Richardson and his assistants.

This is a British owned and operated Diving Centre which is fully registered in Tenerife. All the staff are highly qualified PADI professionals with many years of experience in recreational diving world-wide.
They can provide a wide variety of diving to suit all levels of experience. From Discover Scuba (having never dived before) through to PADI Professional.

Undersea Adventures provide professionally run courses, with no more than four open water students to one Instructor. Qualified clients may choose unescorted dives, or be escorted by a Professional Dive Guide. Their goal is to ensure that your diving is not only enjoyable but above all safe. You will see the best that Tenerife’s undersea world has to offer.

Read how Undersea Adventures describes in their own words how Tenerife is ideal for divers:

The location of Tenerife, one of the Canary group of islands, situated approximately 300 km from the north west coast of Africa at approximately 28o North, ensures the island is washed with clean Atlantic waters and is almost pollution free. The underwater visibility will normally be between 20 and 30 metres, and the water temperature around the 20oC mark at all diving depths, making comfortable diving in a 3mm wetsuit possible all year round. The only poor visibility is due to too many fish!

Tenerife is blessed with an abundance of marine life from large marine mammals to the smallest shrimp. Common sites on dives will include large shoals of fish, Stingrays, Trumpet Fish, Morays, Octopus and many others. Large Turtles are also common visitors to these waters.

The volcanic nature of the island ensures interesting natural underwater features with caves and canyons in places dropping steeply into the abyss. Currents may be encountered in some areas, so seeking local advice or participating in conducted diving is a must.

There are a few ship wrecks dotted around the island, mostly fishing vessels and a few larger ones, these are made more spectacular by the water clarity and the abundance of marine life which inhabit them.

Undersea Adventures can offer a variety of dive sites along the South Coast of Tenerife, from both boat and shore to suit divers requirements and personal interests. Safety will always be our highest priority.

Why Tenerife-Holidays.Info has chosen to recommend Undersea Adventures:

Undersea Adventures provide a very good and much larger range of sites than most other Schools on the island. A major advantage in their favour is that all divers receive “personal attention” at all times, all the dives are in small groups – they insist on this. The Instructors are “fun people” to be with, and are extremely helpful and friendly, not only in their Professional capacity but also with their personal interest in the enjoyment of your holiday.

We believe that you will be absolutely thrilled with the services of Undersea Adventures.
PADI diving prices are dependant on the type of course you choose, ranging from around £35 to £250.

Here's a little taster of some of the popular dive sites we have to offer:
Trumpet alley one of the best Shore dives available in Tenerife. A rich diversity of Sub Tropical marine life is never far away. Visibility is always 15 metres plus, the site is only 10 minutes from the Centre and of course all transport is provided.
Depth 6 metres – 21 metres.

Stingrays and wreck a daily trip out to one of the best sites in Tenerife. Hand feed the large numbers of stingrays that are always around, then travel around the wreck looking at morays and large groups of schooling fish. Depth 17 metres – 22 metres.

San Blas our own training Dive Centre for those who are diving for the first time. Lots of smaller marine life, squid and octopus. A GREAT SANDY BOTTOM FOR PERFECTING SKILLS and only a 2 minute stroll from the Centre. Depth 8 metres maximum.

Palm Mar a fifteen minute boat ride from harbour takes us to a great rock face covered in morays, with swim through caves. There are often stingrays flying past and visibility never drops below 20 metres. Depth 20 metres – 28 metres.

Black Cove great dives for all levels. A favourite place for schooling barracuda and octopus. The dives follow a steep drop down the coast taking in some excellent swim through caves, one of the dives you will do during a PADI training course.
